The present work as a degree project, consists in the creation and development of a non-
functional model of discharge emitter for the fire suppression system with Vortex technology,
this is a system designed by the Victaulic company, and it consists of two components, Water
and Nitrogen that create an extinguishing agent that mitigates fire, protects buildings, human life
and assets of cultural interest.
The work problem is centralized in uncontrolled fire events that have occurred in heritage
buildings and buildings of cultural interest, such as museums and libraries. Currently, there are
no companies or products that have been used to repair this problem. it affects us all. For this, the
main causes of uncontrolled fire events were identified, such as what happened in the fire of the
National Museum of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, and recently the devastating fire event that
occurred in the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, led us to seek the solution of this problem
which has left irreparable damage.
As a result of the research, development and creation process; in the end, a unique, innovative
and functional product was obtained; the discharge emitter called COCPVC which will be
coupled to the Vortex suppression system, which system will be imported and implemented as a
start-up in the restoration and conservation workshop and digital bibliographic heritage room of
the National Library of Colombia.
