Due to its geographic, cultural and demographic features, it has several problems, different to the paths that you find located near to the urban zone. This has caused the operation of local and / or district institutions to be limited by factors such as the distance, transport, travel and low population rate among others.
With the latter, arises the interest to carry out a community intervention process by the social work discipline with the participative rural diagnostic methodology, as one capable of involving the community in the identification of problems, needs, interests and resources to strengthen the community‟s organizational process. This will in turn, generate strategies that contribute to the population development and social welfare. For this reason, techniques of participative rural diagnostic were applied, which allowed the community to recognize the history, territory and resources of the path, as well as identify problems and common interests. The participation made it possible to reflect on social reality and motivated the strengthening of the neighbourhood ties
