| dc.description.abstract | La producción de arándanos en Colombia ha aumentado en los últimos años, compitiendo con países de alta producción, debido a la alta demanda por su efecto benéfico en la salud por su valor antioxidante. Sin embargo, esta es una planta susceptible a enfermedades fúngicas y no se deberían utilizar productos químicos para minimizar el impacto por el efecto sobre la salud del consumidor y el ambiente. Adicionalmente, las pérdidas pueden ser muy altas para el productor. En la presente investigación, el objetivo fue establecer la posibilidad de usar levaduras epífitas de plantas de arándano recolectadas de diferentes cultivos colombianos como una alternativa de control biológico frente a hongos fitopatógenos del arándano. Para ello, se confirmó la presencia de hongos que actuaban como fitopatógenos que estaban reportados para esta planta, principalmente del género Botrytis, pero también otros géneros como Fusarium, Rhizoctonia y Curvularia y se identificaron 8 levaduras antagónicas identificadas con el género Hanseniaspora spp., Meyerozyma spp. y Rhodotorula spp., las cuales han sido establecidas en otras investigaciones como posibles controladoras. A futuro será necesario verificar en campo, en condiciones controladas, la eficiencia de las levaduras. | spa |
