Turismo social y su rol en el disfrute del tiempo libre por parte de poblaciones vulnerables en Bogotá

Abstract

El turismo social ha tenido una evolución teórica, conceptual y práctica a lo largo de la historia, lo cual complejiza su definición, entendimiento y a su vez puesta en marcha. Por lo cual, en esta investigación se buscó comprender e interpretar cómo se comporta el turismo social en Bogotá, que evolución histórica ha tenido y cómo se concibe actualmente. También se buscó conocer quién lo oferta, en qué forma se hace y cómo se accede, esto a través de una investigación cualitativa, de tipo descriptivo y exploratorio, en donde primó la revisión documental y a su vez se realizaron entrevistas a profundidad a actores clave que permitieran un acercamiento al campo de estudio. De lo cual se derivó una identificación de la evolución histórica del turismo social en el país y un reconocimiento del ejercicio del turismo social en Bogotá.

Social tourism has had a theoretical, conceptual, and practical evolution throughout history, which complicates its definition, understanding, and in turn, implementation since it is not certain what it is and likewise makes it difficult to carry out and implement the running of this. Therefore, in this research we sought to understand and interpret how social tourism behaves in Bogotá, what historical evolution it has had and how it is currently conceived, consequently we also sought to know who offers it, how it is done, and how it is accessed. This was through qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory research, where documentary review prevailed, and in turn, interviews were conducted with key actors that allowed an approach to the field of study. From this, an identification of the historical evolution of social tourism in the country and a recognition of the exercise of social tourism in Bogotá was derived.
